That way, whether you’re trying to get a promotion at work or asking for that raise after already starting your first job out of college—that same drive and perseverance will come through regardless.
Ways to Start Taking Action Today
- Write down everything you are passionate about (don’t worry if they seem unrelated or random). It’s important to start at what you’re most passionate about so that even if you face challenges in learning something new, you wouldn’t lose interest easily.
- Do your research on those topics and use that information to create a personal development plan. Once you’ve done your research, think of steps you can take to improve – what skill do you need to learn? What lesson do you need to take?
- Start doing it. This can be achieved by reading, watching videos or going to events in person. Put yourself out there and start doing the work.
- Repeat 1-3 until you achieve your goals / dreams in life and work
